I would like to say that television is one of the most amazing telecommunicating systems. They greatly influence on the thinking style, lifestyle, and physiological changes of a person and so on. And also television is a part of everyday life.
There is no doubt that television has both a negative and positive influence on children.
It`s turning out to be a disastrous influence.Television is opening up all of society`s secrets and taboos, thus erasing the dividing line between childhood and adulthood.

Television is more pervasive in a child`s world than school. It is the “first curriculum” because of the amount of attention children give to it.So children spend more time watching television than any other daily activity, and it is not a surprise that it will have an impact on their behavior. It can shorten attention span, distort body image and create fear. We see drugs, sex, violence and vulgar language portrayed on practically every show or program on television.
Many parents have the mistaken belief that television is an “entertainment medium” in which little of enduring value is either taught by or learned from it. Television has a transforming power.
Moreover,television can never teach what a medium like a book can teach. Although television is essentially a visual medium but It is not a suitable medium for conveying ideas, because an idea is essentially language- words and sentences.The visual image is accessible to everyone.Understanding printed words must be learned, watching pictures does not require any learning.
TV has a positive impact.
When enjoyed in moderation, educational television has numerous constructive
effects on child’s learning.:
Children learn about world cultures, traditions, and religions;
