I. Put the word in correct form. Present Continuous or Present Simple.
- Let`s go out. It is not raing now.

- Normally I finish work at 5.00 p.m. but today. I am working until 6.00. p.m. today to make a bit more money.
- Usually I enjoy the parties but I am not enjoying this one.
- Mr. Garret has dinner very late when he comes home from school. Now it`s 8 p.m. and he is having dinner with his wife.
- What does your father do? He is architect but he is not working at the moment.
II. Make up the questions to the following sentences.

III. Put the verb in correct form of the past.

IV.Translate.
- They buy newspapers in that shop.

V. Complete the sentences by putting the verbs in brackets( ) into
the Past Continiuous.

VI. Put the verb the past continuous (I was doing) or past simple (I did).

- I got up at 7. o`clock. The sun was shining so I went for a walk.

- What were you doing at 9.30 on Saturday evening? I was watching a film in the cinema.
VII. Complete the conversation using just, already or yet and the words in
brackets ( ). Put the verbs into the Present Perfect.
- Have you visited the Art Gallery?
- No, I have not done that, but im going to do it.
- What about the theatre? Have you seen a play.
- No, but I have booked a ticket, for one. It`s called. The Friends. I rang the theatre five minutes ago. Would you like to
come with me?
- Thanks, but I have seen that’s play. I saw it last month.
- I have read in the newspaper that. The Adventurers are giving a concert next week. Do you thing it will be good.
- Yes. They have made a really good new record. It came out a couple of days ago.
- Yes. They have not sold all the tickets. But be quick! They`re a popular group.
VIII. Complete this paragraph about the London Underground by putting in
the Present Perfect or Past Simple of the verbs in brackets( ).
London has had an underground train system since the 19th Century. The
London Underground started in 1863, when Victorian
engineers and workers have build the Metropolitan railway.
This railway line went from Paddington Station to
Farringdon Street Station, and steam engines pulled the coaches. Laght more
lines opened since then. The world`s
first underground electric railway opened in 1890.Thes line went from the city of London to
Stockwell in South London. The most modern line is the Jubilee line,
which opened in 1977. Since the London
Underground has begun many other cities, such
as New York and Moscow, build then own systems.
IX. Complete the sentences so that they mean the same as the pairs
