The article under consideration
is called “Putin calls on Ukraine rebels to put off the secession
vote” written by Matt Robinson and Darya Korsunskaya and published
by the news agency Reuters.
The information, given
in this article refers to the widely spoken separatist referendum, planned
by the citizens of two southeastern provinces of Ukraine - Donetsk and
Slaviansk – for Sunday 11th. People, suffering from the outbreaks of the Ukrainian Civil
War of 2014 are determined to cast their votes for the separation of
the independent People’s Republic of Donetsk.
At the same time the
Head of Russia calls for the separatists to postpone the secession vote.
In his opinion, there is still a chance of finding political solution
of the global crisis: building a bilateral dialog with the authorities
in Kiev.
On the other side the
Western Powers keep their skepticism about the Russian troops’ pull-back
from the frontier with Ukraine, announced by Mr. Putin, and call for
the “illegitimate” vote to be cancelled for good.
Ukranian Prime Minister
Arseniy Yatseniuk, in his turn, blames Russia for playing on two sites.
According to the points of view of the Ukrainian authorities and the
West, Russia remains responsible for both forging the current crisis
in Ukraine and “overturning decades oа post – Cold War diplomacy”
which refers to the annexation of Crimea.
Nevertheless, experts
predict the rebels would heed Putin’s call to put off the people’s
referendum. Meanwhile Moscow has little to do but to wait for new sanctions.
