    • In 1958 the restaurant chain sold its 100 millionth hamburger.

 

    • 1961- Hamburger University was opened.

 

    • In 1967, the first restaurant outside US was opened in Richmond, British Columbia.

 

    • In 1988, the first restaurant opened in a communist country in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, followed by the first Soviet restaurant in Moscow (1990).

 

    • In 2006, the chain announced that it will publish nutritional information on its packaging of all its products, for the benefit of the customers.

    • There is a talent war rage between McDonald’s and other companies, such as: Burger King Corporation, Subway, Starbucks, Wendy’s/Arby's Group, and YUM Foods.
    • Employees tend to change their workplaces to more profitable restaurants.

 

    • No proper training for employees.

 

    • No security.

 

    • Low wages.

Causes

 

    • Human Resource managers do not provide proper training.

 

    • Big company bureaucracy.

 

    • HR managers do not listen to the employees ideas.

Solutions

 

    • Stimulate employees by giving them more challenging tasks.

 

    • Give them opportunity to innovate and use their ideas.

 

    • People love to be recognized, so praise them when it is appropriate. 
    • Increase their wages.

 

    • Respect employees.
